Tax Consultant (Executive) – Mumbai

About the role

EY is seeking a junior Tax Consultant to join its Mumbai team. You will support client engagements by preparing and filing tax returns, interacting with tax authorities, and providing advisory services on employee mobility and expatriate matters.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and file individual tax returns and e‑TDS returns for clients.
• Draft and submit documents to tax authorities and represent clients during inspections.
• Advise on inbound and outbound structuring related to employee movement, including immigration and provident‑fund considerations.
• Collaborate with senior tax professionals to deliver comprehensive tax solutions.
• Utilise electronic working papers and relevant software to ensure accuracy and timeliness of deliverables.
• Maintain confidentiality of client information and uphold professional standards.

Required profile

• Certified Chartered Accountant (CA) with 0‑1 year of relevant experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Analytical mindset with good numerical ability.
• Enthusiastic self‑starter and effective team player.
• Good time‑management and attention to detail.
