Tax Associate – Canada Tax (India)

About the role

RSM is expanding its Canada Tax practice in India and is looking for a Tax Associate to support public and private multinational enterprises. You will work on a variety of corporate tax services, from compliance to advisory, while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Train and develop junior staff members and review tax returns for corporations, partnerships, trusts and individuals.
• Assist assurance teams with tax provision reviews, prepare working papers and manage risk for clients and the firm.
• Advise clients on corporate tax planning, research, compliance and tax accounting, and support new business development.
• Stay current on tax law changes and maintain consistency with firm policies and professional standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; CPA designation completed or in progress.
• 1+ year experience in public accounting with a focus on tax, preferably handling corporate, partnership, trust and individual filings.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.

Required skills

• Preparation of Corporations‑T2, Partnerships‑T5013, Trusts‑T3 and Individual‑T1 tax returns.
• Surplus calculations and Federal M&A tax work.
• Strong knowledge of the Canadian Income Tax Act and technical tax compliance.
• Experience with international tax matters is a plus.
