Tax Accounting Specialist

About the role

As a Tax Accounting Specialist, you will support direct tax accounting activities for business units across the US and other regions, working closely with the Global Tax organization of a US‑based multinational corporation. The role requires flexibility to work across multiple time zones.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review tax accounting entries, perform tax‑related account reconciliations, and complete required adjustments to support accurate month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close activities.
• Maintain the accuracy of tax balances in the general ledger and ensure compliance with global accounting standards, tax policies, and reporting requirements.
• Collaborate with regional tax and finance teams to exchange tax information, resolve issues, support audit activities, and assist with global tax reporting, including preparing supporting schedules for U.S. and non‑U.S. entities.
• Calculate, review, and validate withholding tax obligations on cross‑border payments, ensuring timely filings, payments, and reporting across jurisdictions.
• Support standardization, automation, system enhancements, and continuous‑improvement initiatives within tax and accounting processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline (completed and verified prior to start).
• 4‑8 years of experience in tax accounting or general‑ledger accounting.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Solid understanding of record‑to‑report processes and tax accounting under US GAAP.
