Tax Accountant – Direct & Indirect Tax (Remote/India)

About the role

Join a fast‑growing professional‑services firm building its India tax centre. You will work on both direct and indirect tax compliance for a global practice, supporting clients across multiple Indian cities or remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and file GST, TDS, and income‑tax returns within statutory deadlines.
• Compute tax liabilities, provisions, and advance tax payments.
• Maintain tax registers, records and perform detailed reconciliations.
• Assist with tax assessments, notices and audit responses.
• Monitor regulatory changes and evaluate their impact on the business.
• Collaborate with the accounting team on tax provisioning and reporting.

Required profile

• 2‑6 years of experience in tax accounting or tax compliance.
• Strong knowledge of Indian direct and indirect tax laws.
• Qualified CA or CA Inter with a tax focus (preferred).
• Experience in a professional‑services or consulting environment is a plus.
