Tactical Procurement Specialist – Asia Pacific

About the role

The Tactical Procurement Specialist for the Asia Pacific region will drive operational excellence and support strategic sourcing across Symrise’s raw‑materials supply chain. You will own the full procurement lifecycle, from purchase requisition to PO execution, while providing analytical support to enhance cost efficiency and mitigate supply risk.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain up‑to‑date contract and info records in SAP.
• Communicate relevant procurement information and resolve complaints efficiently.
• Create, manage and monitor purchase orders, performing daily checks and handling overdue items.
• Execute order modifications, including quantity changes, and coordinate logistics issues with suppliers.
• Support supplier meetings and negotiations with operational input.
• Govern the end‑to‑end procurement process, including approval of new material development.
• Provide daily operational support, generate rolling forecasts and manage document flow such as B/L and AWB.
• Maintain supplier selection, resolve pending issues and manage specification compliance.
• Ensure quality and compliance, securing supply to Symrise plants and tracking AVA activities.

Required profile

• Strong stakeholder collaboration across buying teams, business units and external suppliers.
• Analytical mindset to support long‑term sourcing strategy and cost optimisation.
• Attention to detail for data accuracy and governance compliance.
• Ability to manage multiple operational tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
