Tactical Buyer

About the role

The Tactical Buyer ensures a stable supply of goods and services, aligning quality, schedule and budget requirements with the company’s overall procurement strategy. Acting as the link between operational and strategic procurement, the role independently manages sourcing tasks for non‑managed material groups from tendering through award.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse internal requirements and procurement volumes to identify bundling opportunities.
• Coordinate tendering processes, conduct award procedures and create purchase orders.
• Represent Procurement in development projects, supporting internal and external stakeholders.
• Maintain supplier communication, monitor delivery performance and ensure compliance with purchasing guidelines.
• Collaborate with Strategic Buyers on supplier strategies, contract conclusions and portfolio development.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a commercial field with technical understanding or a technical field with commercial understanding.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in purchasing or related areas.
• Strong market knowledge and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with specialist departments.

Required skills

• Proficiency in procurement processes and tender management.
• Experience creating purchase orders and managing supplier relationships.
• Understanding of internal purchasing guidelines and compliance requirements.
