Systems Engineer - Application Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a highly motivated Systems Engineer – Application Specialist to join BASF’s Digital Hub in Hyderabad. In this role you will ensure the stable operation, performance and optimisation of key Windows‑based workplace applications used by employees worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑line and advanced technical support for Windows workplace applications such as Adobe Acrobat and SAP GUI.
• Analyse incidents, resolve technical issues and contribute to problem‑management processes.
• Act as the technical owner for assigned applications, ensuring stability, performance and compliance.
• Collaborate with Value Owners, internal teams and external service providers to drive improvements and roadmap initiatives.
• Participate in cross‑functional and international projects to optimise processes and services.

Required profile

• Strong technical background with experience in supporting Windows‑based enterprise applications.
• Ability to work in an international, multi‑cultural environment and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
• Proactive attitude towards incident analysis, root‑cause investigation and continuous improvement.
