System Engineer - FireX

About the role

Airbus India is looking for a motivated System Engineer to contribute to the design, development, and validation of advanced fire protection systems (FireX) for aircraft. You will work on the full V‑cycle of equipment and sub‑system development, ensuring safety and performance standards are met.

Key responsibilities

• Write specifications and act as the focal point for supplier RFPs.
• Manage suppliers, follow up test rigs, and analyse test data.
• Perform system‑level design, analysis, and integration of aircraft fire protection systems.
• Develop and review system requirements, specifications, and design documents in line with aerospace standards.
• Define, execute, and report on verification and validation test plans.
• Participate in architecture definition, trade‑off studies, and cross‑functional integration.
• Support problem investigations, root‑cause analysis, and in‑service issue resolution.
• Interface with suppliers and customers on technical matters.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3–7 years of systems engineering experience, preferably in aerospace.
• Strong knowledge of aircraft fire protection systems and DO‑160.
• Familiarity with aerospace standards such as ARP4754A and CS‑25.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.

Required skills

• Requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS).
• Modeling and simulation tools: Dymola, Matlab, Fluent, Ansys.
• Verification and validation methodologies.
• Supplier steering/management (advantageous).
