System Engineer – Built-In Test Equipment (BITE)

About the role

The Maintenance Team at Airbus India is looking for a System Engineer specialized in Built‑In Test Equipment (BITE). The role supports Airbus’s maintainability concept by developing, validating and troubleshooting BITE functions across multiple aircraft systems, ensuring rapid fault isolation for ground maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop deep expertise in BITE concepts and implement them on various aircraft systems.
• Collaborate with design offices, suppliers and airlines to address in‑service queries and provide technical support.
• Validate modifications, manage configuration, and proof‑read system design and lab test specifications.
• Maintain fault‑related maintenance data in internal repositories and identify integration opportunities with the Skywise data‑analytics platform.

Required profile

• B.Tech/B.E./M.Tech/M.E. in Aerospace, Electronics & Communications, Mechanical or related engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience with avionics system design or related work.
• Basic understanding of BITE and at least one aircraft system architecture.
• Familiarity with communication protocols such as ARINC 429, AFDX, Ethernet or CAN.
• Proficiency in English communication, both written and verbal.

• JavaScript / TypeScript, Java, Python scripting.
• Big Data concepts and Skywise analytics platform.
• Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and configuration management.
• Jira and Google Suite tools.
