System Administrator

About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled, strategic Systems Administrator to take ownership of our core IT infrastructure and serve as the highest level of technical escalation for our India‑based team. In this critical role you will be responsible for the architecture, deployment, maintenance, and security of our server, network, and cloud environments.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the Tier 3 escalation point for complex technical issues and own the health, uptime, and performance of local and cloud‑based servers, networks, and enterprise applications.
• Engineer and manage Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) platforms such as ConnectWise Automate, writing advanced PowerShell, Bash, and Python scripts to automate deployments, patching, and maintenance.
• Provision, configure, and maintain physical and virtual servers, enterprise storage, and software packages across Windows and Linux environments.
• Architect and manage enterprise LAN/WAN/VPN networks, ensuring security best practices, performing regular audits, and overseeing disaster‑recovery protocols.
• Act as platform owner for core IT systems (Ticketing, RMM, MDM), identifying bottlenecks and engineering workflows to improve global IT efficiency.
• Champion enterprise‑level documentation, creating architectural diagrams, disaster‑recovery plans, and technical playbooks for the broader IT team.

Required profile

• Minimum 5+ years of progressive IT experience, with at least 2‑3 years focused on systems administration, network engineering, or infrastructure management.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, able to translate complex architectural concepts to executive and non‑technical audiences.
• Elite troubleshooting and critical‑thinking abilities, leading resolution efforts during high‑severity outages.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field; industry certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator, CCNA, Security+, RHCSA) strongly preferred.

• TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing protocols, Cisco Meraki firewalls/switches/WAPs, Site‑to‑Site VPN.
• Windows Server 2016/2019/2022, Linux (Ubuntu, RedHat, CentOS), VMware, Hyper‑V, Windows 10/11, macOS.
• Microsoft 365 tenant administration, Entra ID (Azure AD), SSO integrations (SAML, OIDC), Azure or AWS hybrid cloud.
• ConnectWise Automate, Microsoft Intune, Jamf Pro (MDM/RMM tools).
• Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, WordPress CMS, IIS, Apache, Nginx.
• AI tools for IT such as Claude and ChatGPT for scripting assistance and log analysis.
