System Administrator

About the role

Knack Studios, a leading post‑production facility in South India, is looking for an IT System Administrator to ensure the stability, security and performance of its IT infrastructure. You will work closely with the IT team to support day‑to‑day operations and drive continuous improvement of systems.

Key responsibilities

• Provide end‑user support for all operating systems and applications, both in‑person and remotely.
• Set up new employee workstations, hardware, and appropriate system access.
• Configure, maintain and monitor networked computer systems, including servers, hardware, system software and applications.
• Manage user accounts, access controls, backups and firewalls to ensure security.
• Upgrade systems with new releases, replace outdated components and troubleshoot hardware, software, networking and system issues.
• Generate and run access queries, reports and assist with month‑end reporting.
• Research emerging technologies and recommend improvements to the IT environment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum 2‑3 years of experience as an IT System Administrator.
• Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux server environments.
• Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper‑V.
• Familiarity with networking protocols, security principles and best practices.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation for system administration tasks.
