System Administrator – Computer Labs

About the role

The Sri Sukhmani Group of Institutions is seeking a proactive System Administrator to manage its computer laboratories. You will ensure that all lab equipment is operational and ready for classes, practical sessions, examinations, and technical events.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain computers, peripherals, software, and networking equipment across all labs.
• Install, configure, update, and troubleshoot operating systems, applications, hardware, printers, and related IT devices.
• Guarantee lab readiness for regular academic activities and special events.
• Manage basic LAN connectivity, switches, routers, Wi‑Fi, antivirus solutions, and overall system security.
• Keep accurate IT asset inventories, software records, maintenance logs, and backup systems.
• Provide timely technical support to students and faculty and coordinate with external vendors when needed.

Required profile

• 1–3 years of relevant experience, preferably in a college or university environment.
• B.Tech, BCA, MCA, or a Diploma in Computer Science/IT (or equivalent).
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and good communication skills.

Required skills

• Good knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Experience with computer hardware installation and troubleshooting.
• Understanding of networking concepts, LAN, switches, routers, and Wi‑Fi.
• Familiarity with antivirus tools and basic system security practices.
