About the role
The Synthetic Flight Instructor (SFI) will train airline crews converting to Airbus aircraft, delivering both theoretical and practical instruction using simulators and classroom sessions at the Airbus India Training Centre in Gurugram, India.
Key responsibilities
- Instruct crews on operational and technical aspects of Airbus types using Fixed Base Simulators, Full Flight Simulators and classroom environments.
- Deliver specialised courses such as ETOPS and performance training when required.
- Evaluate crew progression and ensure training is completed within defined time limits.
- Participate in course development and standardisation activities as needed.
Required profile
- Minimum 3,000 total flight hours, including at least 1,500 hours on multi‑pilot aircraft.
- EASA and/or DGCA ATPL licence; Airbus type rating is a plus.
- Instructor authorisation for Synthetic Flight Instruction or prior instructor experience is advantageous.
- Fluent English and willingness to travel worldwide for business trips.
