Supply Chain Operations and Planning Specialist – India

About the role

We are looking for an analytical and detail‑oriented Supply Chain Operations and Planning Specialist to optimise end‑to‑end supply chain processes across India. You will own demand planning, inventory replenishment, master data accuracy and coordination with global logistics to ensure product availability and timely deliveries.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain demand and supply planning models aligned with business objectives.
• Analyse historical sales, market trends and customer insights to forecast inventory requirements.
• Collaborate with global planning and logistics teams to secure material and product availability.
• Optimise inventory levels to minimise carrying costs and avoid stockouts.
• Monitor and report key supply‑chain KPIs, driving continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Provide visibility into slow‑moving and obsolete inventory (SLOB) and lead reduction actions with Sales and Marketing.
• Lead the SIOP process, consolidating data, preparing insights and ensuring data accuracy in the ERP system.
• Coordinate product lifecycle transitions, including rollovers and end‑of‑life planning.
• Engage third‑party vendors and logistics providers to improve lead times and service levels.
• Identify supply‑chain risks and develop mitigation strategies while partnering with internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in supply‑chain planning, operations or logistics.
• Strong understanding of demand forecasting, inventory control and SIOP processes.
• Hands‑on experience with ERP systems (e.g., JD Edwards, Oracle) and advanced Excel.
• APICS certification (CPIM or CSCP) is a strong advantage.
