Supply Chain Analyst – Data‑Driven Planning

About the role

The Supply Chain Analyst will support the Supply Chain Management team by turning data into actionable insights. You will work across demand, inventory, procurement and logistics to help the business run more efficiently and meet customer expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse supply‑chain data on demand, inventory, procurement, production, logistics and distribution to spot trends, gaps and risks.
• Support demand and supply planning by reviewing customer demand, sales trends, stock levels, lead times and production requirements.
• Monitor inventory levels to balance availability with minimisation of excess, obsolete or slow‑moving stock.
• Prepare regular reports, dashboards and KPI analysis covering forecast accuracy, inventory days, service levels, fill rate, lead time, stock‑outs and excess stock.
• Coordinate with procurement, production, warehouse, logistics, sales, finance and customer service to ensure timely material and finished‑goods availability.
• Identify root causes of supply gaps, delivery delays or inventory variances and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain master data in ERP systems (item codes, lead times, safety stock, reorder levels, planning parameters).
• Track supplier, vendor and logistics performance and highlight deviations affecting cost, quality or delivery.
• Assist in cost‑optimisation and continuous‑improvement initiatives through data‑driven analysis.
• Produce ad‑hoc reports and presentations for management and operational meetings.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering, Business Administration, Statistics or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in supply‑chain planning, demand planning, inventory management, logistics or procurement analytics.
• Experience in manufacturing, FMCG, dairy, food processing or consumer‑goods environments is preferred.
• Strong analytical, numerical and problem‑solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting and dashboard creation.
• Working knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle or Microsoft Dynamics.
