Supply and Capacity Planner

About the role

The Supply and Capacity Planner will coordinate customer delivery requirements with manufacturing plans at Johnson & Johnson’s Aurangabad plant, ensuring optimal production schedules and capacity utilization.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the planning and preparation of production schedules for manufacturing.
• Develop and implement production planning policies, standards, guidelines, technology, and procedures.
• Maintain compliance with company safety and planning policies.
• Analyze production specifications and plant capacity data to determine material, personnel, and tooling needs.
• Expedite operations that delay or alter schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.
• Provide a closed‑loop connection between marketing/sales demand, manufacturing capacity, and revenue plans.
• Submit production planning reports to management and propose solutions for potential production issues.
• Review customer order records and back‑order issues.
• Participate in new product launch meetings and forecast new product demand.
• Collaborate with regional planning, India supply chain, and production teams to optimise production levels.
• Plan raw material and packaging material requirements based on forecasts and desired stock levels.
• Undertake volume forecasts for local and imported goods to support purchasing activities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in production planning and capacity management.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills for capacity and material calculations.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with marketing, sales, regional planning and supply‑chain teams.
• Knowledge of safety and compliance policies within a manufacturing environment.
