Supplier Account Manager (B3)

About the role

As a Supplier Account Manager (B3) you will drive commodity strategies and manage supplier relationships for Applied Materials’ supply base in Bangalore. You will ensure alignment with product lifecycle processes and resolve systemic supply chain challenges to support the company’s semiconductor and display manufacturing operations.

Key responsibilities

• Align and implement commodity strategies across the supply base.
• Maintain and negotiate agreements with suppliers that define business relationships.
• Coordinate with the product lifecycle (PLC) process to ensure strategic alignment.
• Lead new supplier introductions and disengagements as required.
• Support resolution of systemic supply chain issues affecting quality, cost, delivery, or lead‑time.

Required profile

• Demonstrated conceptual and practical expertise in supplier management and related disciplines.
• Knowledge of best practices and how supplier functions integrate with other business areas.
• Ability to act as a resource for less‑experienced colleagues and lead small, low‑risk projects.
• Strong problem‑solving skills, capable of analyzing multiple information sources to make judgments.
• Impactful across customer, operational, and project activities while working within broad guidelines.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to convey sensitive information and build consensus.
