Strategy & Innovation Manager – Emerging Markets

About the role

Sun Pharma is seeking a Strategy & Innovation Manager to lead market entry and innovation initiatives across emerging markets. You will work closely with local teams to shape growth roadmaps, develop new product strategies, and translate consumer insights into actionable plans.

Key responsibilities

• Lead white‑space identification and build business cases for new market entry, including GTM models, portfolio selection and financial projections.
• Support leadership with strategic planning, scenario modelling and growth roadmap development.
• Identify unmet consumer needs and manage the innovation funnel from concept to commercialization readiness.
• Integrate sales data, market research, competitive intelligence and consumer immersions to produce forward‑looking insights and actionable dashboards.
• Maintain a centralized insights repository for emerging markets and oversee agency relationships for primary research.
• Track consumer, competitive and channel trends, synthesize them into strategic implications, and develop future scenarios.
• Travel internationally for 3‑4 two‑week trips per year to support market initiatives.

Required profile

• MBA in Marketing, General Management or equivalent.
• 6‑8 years of experience in insights, consulting or related roles.
• 2‑3 years of client‑side consumer insights experience within product‑led, service‑led or consulting environments.
• Strong exposure to healthcare or consumer packaged goods preferred.
