Storekeeper – Materials Management

About the role

The Storekeeper (Store In‑charge) is responsible for the efficient receipt, storage and issuance of materials for mining operations. The role ensures compliance with standard operating procedures, maintains material quality and supports vendor and site coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee receipt, storage and issue of materials following SOPs.
• Coordinate material requisitions and vendor deliveries with site store in‑charges.
• Collect and consolidate monthly vendor reports for senior management.
• Manage purchase requisitions, verify stock availability and close GR/IR issues.
• Authorize material gate passes, define reorder levels and quantities for fast‑moving items.
• Monitor inventory, conduct regular physical verification and dispose of non‑moving or expiring items.
• Maintain store registers, material requisition slips and enter invoices for payment processing.
• Lead daily store team reviews and respond to audit queries.
• Ensure compliance with IMS standards in all store processes.

Required profile

• Experience in store or inventory management within mining or industrial environments.
• Familiarity with material handling, procurement and vendor coordination.
• Ability to work with SOPs, audit requirements and documentation.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Required skills

• SAP (MIRO transaction) for invoice processing.
