About the role
We are looking for an experienced Storekeeper to manage inventory and daily store operations for an industrial canteen.
Key responsibilities
- Receive and verify food items, raw materials, packaging materials and other supplies.
- Maintain daily stock records and inventory registers.
- Issue materials to the kitchen as per requirements.
- Monitor stock levels, expiry dates and apply FIFO practices.
- Track wastage, shortages and damaged or expired items.
- Conduct regular physical stock checks and reconcile with records.
- Verify daily sales against issued stock to prevent excess or unauthorized release.
- Coordinate with the kitchen and purchase team for replenishment.
Required profile
- 2–5 years of relevant storekeeping experience, preferably in canteens, messes, catering or institutional food services.
- Good knowledge of food inventory management and FIFO.
- Basic computer skills with proficiency in Excel.
- Strong communication and organizational abilities.
