Store Officer

About the role

The Store Officer is responsible for overseeing daily material management activities, ensuring accurate recording, safe handling, and efficient utilization of store resources. This role supports the company’s goal of minimizing repetitive work through effective use of existing IT systems while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Process material indents, receive and verify incoming material, and record bookings and issues promptly.
• Reconcile material records, generate consumption reports for material and fuel, and conduct monthly physical verification of assets.
• Control material movement from store to site, enforce SOPs for loading, unloading, and storage, and monitor slow‑moving or non‑moving items.
• Implement IT solutions to streamline repetitive tasks without compromising safety or quality.
• Conduct vendor development, market surveys, and procure store material at competitive prices.
• Maintain strict stock control, ensure safety compliance, and support scrap declaration and sale processes.
• Coordinate with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Promote continuous learning, share best practices, and contribute ideas for cost reduction and better resource utilization.
