Store Incharge

About the role

We are looking for a Store Incharge who will be responsible for receiving, storing, and issuing materials and goods, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring smooth operation of the store/warehouse. The role also involves coordinating with the procurement team and handling documentation such as Goods Receipt Notes and delivery challans.

Key responsibilities

• Receive incoming stock, verify quantity and quality against purchase orders and invoices.
• Organise storage of goods to maximise safety, accessibility and space efficiency.
• Issue materials against authorised requisitions and keep detailed issue records.
• Maintain stock registers, bin cards and update inventory software regularly.
• Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile them with system records.
• Identify, report and manage damaged, expired or slow‑moving items.
• Coordinate with the purchase/procurement team for timely re‑ordering and replenishment.
• Ensure proper labeling, tagging and categorisation of all items.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards within the store area.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly stock reports for management.
• Handle documentation such as GRNs, delivery challans and stock transfer notes.
• Assist in training junior staff on store procedures and safety protocols.

Required profile

• High school diploma; a bachelor’s degree is preferred for larger organisations.
• 1–3 years of experience in store, warehouse or inventory management.
• Familiarity with inventory management software such as SAP, Tally or Zoho Inventory.
• Basic computer skills, especially Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Physical ability to lift and move goods when required.
• Strong attention to detail and honesty in handling valuable stock.
