Store In-charge

About the role

We are looking for a Store In‑charge to manage the receipt, storage and issue of materials across our campus. The role ensures accurate documentation, proper handling of both consumable and asset items, and compliance with safety and hygiene standards.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the Master Receipt Register, recording all receipts with reference to gate entry numbers.
• Confirm receipt of material against purchase orders and circulate receipt information to user departments for quality checks.
• Prepare Goods Received Notes (GRN) and non‑returnable gate passes for rejected material, and forward GRN copies and invoices to Finance.
• Define storage locations, bin received material, and update bin cards and the master register using Excel.
• Issue material against Material Requisition Notes and prepare returnable gate passes for returnable items.
• Prepare monthly consumable stock statements and maintain an asset register in both soft and hard copy.
• Allocate assets, conduct regular counting, numbering and physical verification (monthly, quarterly, half‑yearly, annual).
• Generate purchase requisitions based on minimum stock levels and highlight pending GRNs.
• Ensure storage areas are clean, well‑ventilated, pest‑free and meet specific environmental or hazard requirements.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record‑keeping.
• Good understanding of inventory and asset management procedures.
• Ability to follow standard operating procedures and safety guidelines.
• Organised and capable of handling multiple documentation tasks.
