Store Cashier

About the role

We are looking for a full‑time Store Cashier to join our Kolkata team. The cashier will operate the register, process purchases and provide friendly service to customers.

Key responsibilities

• Operate the cash register and process cash, card and digital payments accurately.
• Greet customers, answer basic product or price queries, and maintain a clean checkout area.
• Bag items, check price labels and report any billing discrepancies to the supervisor.
• Support basic inventory checks at the counter.
• Follow store policies, safety procedures and collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations.

Required profile

• Ability to handle cash, card and digital transactions responsibly.
• Strong customer service skills with polite and professional communication.
• Basic numerical and computing skills for working with POS and billing software.
• Attention to detail to minimise billing errors.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Minimum high school education; prior retail or cashier experience is a plus.
• Ability to stand for extended periods in a fast‑paced environment.
