Store Associate

About the role

The Store Associate is responsible for managing inventory and store operations at Ibis Bengaluru Hosur Road, ensuring optimal stock levels, timely ordering, and coordination with other departments to support guest service.

Key responsibilities

• Take stock at prescribed intervals, monitor inventory standards and control day‑to‑day store activities.
• Coordinate with all hotel departments to maintain productivity, morale and guest service, and ensure safety training for the team.
• Review store performance regularly, identify slow‑moving or non‑moving items, reduce spoilage and waste, and improve material handling.
• Recommend inventory levels to Finance, seek approvals and educate the team on cost‑effective resource use.
• Order goods, maintain optimal stock and par‑stock levels, and track lead‑times with Finance.
• Check expiry dates, discard expired items according to standard processes, and ensure proper stock rotation.
• Receive goods according to specifications, reject non‑conforming items, and keep accurate records of received, issued, approved and rejected goods.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Hotel Management, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Materials Management or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in stores, inventory, materials management or procurement, preferably in hospitality.
• Good knowledge of inventory management, stock control, receiving, issuing and storage procedures.
• Strong understanding of FIFO/FEFO, par‑stock levels, expiry management and stock rotation.
