Startup Account Executive

About the role

We are looking for a Startup Account Executive to bring Anthropic’s safe, frontier AI technology to India’s vibrant startup ecosystem from our Bengaluru hub. You will work directly with founders, CTOs and engineering leaders of fintech, SaaS, edtech and other high‑growth startups, guiding them from proof‑of‑concept to production deployment of Claude.

Key responsibilities

• Build relationships with founders, C‑suite and engineering teams across seed‑stage to scale‑up startups.
• Own the end‑to‑end sales cycle, from outreach and demo to contract negotiation and implementation.
• Guide customers through proof‑of‑concept, paid pilot and production scaling, advising on consumption‑based pricing and cost optimisation.
• Collaborate with accelerators, venture capital firms and developer communities to expand Anthropic’s presence in India.
• Gather market insights on cost, multilingual needs, data residency and use‑case requirements, feeding them back to product and GTM teams.
• Develop India‑specific sales playbooks and mentor junior sales colleagues.

Required profile

• 8+ years of B2B sales experience in the Indian startup ecosystem, preferably selling developer tools, APIs or SaaS solutions.
• Proven record of consultative selling to technical audiences and exceeding revenue targets.
• Deep knowledge of India’s startup landscape, key investors and market dynamics.
• Strong ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both business and engineering stakeholders.
