Staff/Principal Software Engineer – AI Security

About the role

Cyberhaven is building data security for the agentic enterprise, focusing on AI‑driven workloads. The AI Security team needs a senior backend engineer to shape the architecture of a new product line that gives enterprises real‑time visibility and control over data flowing into and out of LLMs, GenAI applications, and autonomous agents.

Key responsibilities

• Architect, extend and optimise a large‑scale, fault‑tolerant system that processes billions of AI‑related events with sub‑second latency.
• Set technical direction for securing data flowing into and out of AI models, influencing product architecture for years.
• Design and implement end‑to‑end security features and API‑level connectors for SaaS and AI platforms such as ChatGPT and Copilot.
• Lead performance analysis, troubleshooting, and scaling efforts across a modern microservices stack.

Required profile

• Proven track record building backend systems used at enterprise scale and extending their architecture.
• Deep, hands‑on experience developing large applications in Go.
• Experience operating large‑scale databases; familiarity with GCP services (BigTable, BigQuery, Spanner) is a plus.
• Strong background in profiling and optimising distributed code and streaming platforms.
• Hands‑on production experience with microservices and Kubernetes.
• Excellent English communication skills and ability to collaborate with distributed teams in Europe and the US.
• Based in India or the EU.
