Staff Software Engineer

About the role

Staff Software Engineer at Stryker (formerly Vocera) focusing on building cloud‑based Angular applications and Node.js services. The role requires 6‑8 years of experience and offers hybrid or onsite work in Bengaluru.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable Angular front‑ends integrated with live data streaming and storage services on GCP.
• Lead junior engineers through design discussions, code reviews, and mentorship.
• Collaborate with UX designers to create responsive user interfaces and with backend teams to define REST API contracts.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines using containerization and manage deployments on Google Cloud Platform.
• Conduct performance optimization, unit, functional and system testing, and troubleshoot production issues.

Required profile

• 6‑8 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and in distributed teams.
• Experience creating estimates and following software development life‑cycle processes.
