Staff Software Engineer – Full Stack (Gurugram)

About the role

Agoda is looking for a Staff Software Engineer to lead full‑stack architecture and system design for high‑traffic web and cross‑platform products. You will own complex end‑to‑end systems and mentor high‑performing teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead full‑stack architecture and system design for features used by millions of customers across web and cross‑platform environments.
• Own complex end‑to‑end systems, including the Backend for Frontend (BFF) layer, integrating frontend and backend components.
• Mentor and guide high‑performing teams, providing technical leadership and driving engineering excellence.
• Drive technical decisions and influence architecture and best practices across multiple squads.
• Collaborate with Product and Design to deliver user‑centered features and experiments.

Required profile

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with proven technical leadership and end‑to‑end ownership.
• Strong expertise in Java, Kotlin.NET, JavaScript/TypeScript and frameworks such as Node.js and React.
• Experience designing and maintaining Backend for Frontend (BFF) layers.
• Track record of mentoring, cross‑team collaboration, and solving ambiguous, complex problems.
