Staff Software Engineer – Cloud Control Plane

About the role

We are looking for a Staff Software Engineer to join our Cloud Control Plane team and help design, build and deliver components of the Infinia software storage solution. The role involves working on scalable software‑defined storage components in a fast‑paced, outcome‑oriented environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and ship core components of the storage solution, driving design discussions and building prototypes.
• Conduct code reviews and improve the scalability, stability, reliability and performance of the platform.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teammates, program management and documentation teams to ensure successful product releases.
• Manage assigned projects, provide regular progress reports and travel as needed for meetings or training.

Required profile

• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of software development experience with deep expertise in GoLang and cloud native technologies.

Required skills

• GoLang, Kubernetes, AWS (EC2, S3, RDS) and AWS Solutions Architect knowledge.
• Elasticsearch, Cassandra, Prometheus, JUnit, Mockito, SOLID principles, OOP design, design patterns.
• Linux, Bash scripting, Git, CI/CD pipelines, Agile methodologies.
• Familiarity with microservices, event‑driven architectures, Python and Shell scripting.
