Staff Software Engineer, Backend

About the role

As a Staff Software Engineer (Backend) you will design, build and enhance highly‑scalable backend services, create reusable libraries, and ensure reliable production support in a fast‑moving environment.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers to define technical designs, strategies and drive execution for platform capabilities.
• Own service delivery timelines, ensure high‑quality releases and establish best‑practice development standards.
• Maintain cloud‑based web applications, ensuring functional correctness, availability, security and operational readiness (SLO/SLI/SLA).
• Develop, deploy and maintain enterprise‑grade RESTful services and micro‑services architecture.
• Mentor and support engineering teams, remove roadblocks and provide L3 support for complex issues.

Required profile

• ~10+ years of software development experience, including at least 2 years of engineering leadership.
• Strong architectural expertise in building highly‑scalable, highly‑available products.
• Proven experience with the full software development lifecycle, from analysis to post‑production support.

Required skills

• Server‑side frameworks: Spring Boot (Java), Node.js, Golang.
• Databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis.
• Search and monitoring: Elasticsearch, Kibana (ELK Stack).
• Messaging: RabbitMQ.
• Design and implementation of RESTful APIs and micro‑services platforms.
