Staff Nurse – Women & Children Care

About the role

The Hospital is seeking a Staff Nurse to deliver safe, compassionate, and high‑quality nursing care to women, newborns, infants, children, and adolescents. The role involves patient assessment, medication administration, monitoring, documentation, patient education, and coordination with a multidisciplinary team while adhering to NABH standards and infection‑control protocols.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to antenatal, postnatal, gynecology, pediatric, and neonatal patients.
• Assess physical and emotional conditions, monitor vital signs, intake/output, and record patient progress.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments, prepare patients for procedures, and assist doctors during emergencies.
• Educate mothers on breastfeeding, newborn care, immunisation and post‑natal hygiene.
• Maintain infection‑prevention practices, hand hygiene, and appropriate PPE usage.
• Document accurate nursing records, ensure confidentiality, and manage equipment and inventory.
• Coordinate with doctors, laboratory, pharmacy and other departments, and participate in handovers and meetings.

Required profile

• GNM / B.Sc. Nursing / Post‑Basic B.Sc. Nursing with valid State Nursing Council registration.
• Fresher or 1–3 years of experience in Obstetrics & Gynecology, Pediatrics, NICU, PICU or a Women & Children hospital.
• Preferred BLS certification.
• Willingness to work rotational shifts including nights, weekends and holidays.
