Staff Nurse – Suitable for Newly Qualified Nurses

About the role

We are seeking enthusiastic, motivated nurses who are newly qualified or will be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) by September 2026 to join Caithness General Hospital. The role offers a supportive environment where you will develop your clinical skills and deliver evidence‑based, patient‑centred care as part of a multi‑disciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality nursing care to patients across selected departments.
• Collaborate closely with doctors, allied health professionals and support staff.
• Participate in day and night shift rotations as required.
• Engage in the NHS Highland Flying Start Programme and ongoing training.

Required profile

• Registered or eligible for registration with the NMC by September 2026.
• Enthusiastic, motivated and committed to delivering safe, compassionate care.
• Willingness to work in a rotational day/night contract.
