Staff Nurse – Psychiatric & Rehabilitation Care

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Staff Nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing treatment for alcohol, substance, and habit dependencies in a psychiatric and rehabilitation setting. The role involves working closely with a multidisciplinary team to support patient recovery across both inpatient and outpatient services.

Key responsibilities

• Record and monitor vital signs, intake and output, and conduct behavioural observations.
• Administer prescribed medications, IV fluids, and perform procedures such as ECG, tube feeding, suctioning, enema/proctoclysis, and blood transfusions.
• Collect patient specimens, assist with diagnostic procedures, and support doctors during treatments.
• Coordinate patient admission and discharge, orient patients and families, and provide health education.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure proper handover between shifts.
• Promote mental health awareness, encourage participation in therapeutic activities, and uphold a safe, confidential environment.

Required profile

• GNM or B.Sc. Nursing qualification.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant nursing experience, preferably in psychiatric or rehabilitation care.
• Strong clinical knowledge and ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with sensitivity towards patients.
