Staff Nurse – Multiple Specialties & Departments

About the role

The Staff Nurse provides safe, high‑quality, evidence‑based nursing care across a wide range of clinical departments at KDSG Super Speciality Hospital. The role involves patient assessment, medication administration, clinical monitoring, documentation, patient education and coordination with multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments on admission and at regular intervals, develop and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Administer medications safely, conduct medication reconciliation, monitor therapeutic response and document accurately.
• Assist physicians during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures and provide specialty‑specific nursing care in ICU, OT, labour room, oncology, dialysis and other units.
• Maintain infection‑prevention practices, adhere to patient‑safety protocols and participate in emergency response including Code Blue.
• Ensure accurate, timely nursing documentation and effective handover between shifts.

Required profile

• ANM/GNM, B.Sc. Nursing, Post‑Basic B.Sc. Nursing or equivalent recognized qualification.
• Valid registration with the State Nursing Council.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in relevant clinical departments (ICU, OT, labour room, etc.).
• Ability to work rotational shifts, including nights, and to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.

Required skills

• Medication administration and safety protocols.
• Ventilator and airway support management.
• Infusion pump operation and high‑alert medication handling.
• Clinical monitoring of vital signs, hemodynamics and neurological status.
• Electronic health record documentation.
