Staff Nurse – Full-time, Chennai

About the role

The Staff Nurse will deliver direct patient care and clinical support across diagnostic and treatment areas at Anderson Diagnostics & Labs in Chennai. The role focuses on safe, evidence‑based nursing practice, patient education and seamless coordination with multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor patient conditions and vital signs.
• Administer medications and treatments.
• Prepare patients for radiology, laboratory or genetic diagnostic procedures.
• Assist physicians and technologists during procedures.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and electronic medical records.
• Educate patients and families about procedures, after‑care and preventive health.
• Adhere to infection control, safety and quality standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure smooth patient flow.
• Participate in continuous improvement of nursing protocols.

Required profile

• Valid nursing qualification (GNM or B.Sc Nursing) with current registration.
• Strong clinical skills in patient assessment, medication administration and vital sign monitoring.
• Experience in hospital or diagnostic centre settings, preferably with exposure to radiology or laboratory environments.
• Knowledge of infection control, patient safety and emergency response procedures.
• Proficiency in nursing records and electronic documentation.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to manage time and multiple patients in a fast‑paced environment.
• Commitment to ethical practice, confidentiality and continuous professional development.
