Staff HR Technology Solutions Architect

About the role

The Staff HR Technology Solutions Architect is the senior technical authority for OpenGov’s HR technology ecosystem. Based in Pune and reporting to the Director of Enterprise Applications and Engineering, the role defines the technical vision for Workday and the broader HR application portfolio supporting a global workforce across the US and India.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end architecture of the HR technology ecosystem, including Workday core modules and surrounding best‑of‑breed systems such as ADP, Ashby, CultureAmp, NetSuite, Snowflake and Workato.
• Design and govern integration architecture, data flows, and the HR data model from hire to retire, ensuring data integrity, lineage and compliance.
• Set technical strategy, influence business decisions, and act as trusted advisor to HR, Payroll, Talent, IT and leadership teams.
• Provide hands‑on delivery for complex integrations, configurations and reports, and mentor HR application administrators.
• Define data‑governance, security and AI/automation standards, and ensure compliance with global privacy regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years progressive HR technology/HRIS experience, with senior individual‑contributor or principal architect responsibilities.
• Proven ability to set technical direction and influence both technical and business stakeholders.

Required skills

• Deep expertise in Workday (Core HCM, Payroll, Benefits, Recruiting, Talent, Reporting, Security, etc.).
• Experience with ADP, Ashby, CultureAmp, NetSuite, Snowflake and Workato integration platforms.
• Strong integration architecture skills (EIB, Core Connectors, Studio, web service APIs, iPaaS).
• Data‑governance, security and privacy knowledge for multi‑geography deployments.
