Staff Engineer – Structural – LNG

About the role

The Staff Engineer – Structural – LNG will act as a technical specialist and lead on complex structural projects within the LNG sector. Working with minimal supervision, the role applies advanced engineering techniques, develops design concepts, and guides junior staff.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and apply design guides, standards, and engineering codes for LNG projects.
• Provide technical guidance to project teams and ensure compliance with Black & Veatch quality programs.
• Prepare complex engineering deliverables, calculations, and recommendations for equipment and material selection.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, and quality requirements while delegating tasks to lower‑level engineers.
• Coordinate multi‑disciplinary activities and serve as the charge for moderately complex projects.
• Support business development activities and communicate client interests to project teams.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers, identifying successors and facilitating knowledge transfer.
• Assist with resource management and ensure adherence to corporate policies and procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited program.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant engineering experience, preferably in structural or LNG projects.
