Staff Accountant

About the role

The Staff Accountant will join Forrester's European finance team, supporting the administration of EMEA entities and contributing to finance projects that improve efficiency and accuracy. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, this role focuses on high‑quality reporting and process optimisation.

Key responsibilities

• Administer month‑end and quarter‑end close for selected EMEA entities in accordance with GAAP, including full ledger reconciliations.
• Maintain the fixed‑asset register, bank reconciliations, balance‑sheet accounts and intercompany transactions.
• Coordinate with the payroll team to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing.
• Manage relationships with local accounting firms to guarantee precise financial reporting.
• Prepare VAT returns and wage‑tax filings for the entities.
• Generate analyses of significant accounts and perform ad‑hoc financial analysis as required.
• Support statutory auditors and assist with tax filings.
• Participate in finance‑related projects and drive process‑automation initiatives.

Required profile

• Studying towards or holding an ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum four years of experience in a similar finance/accounting role.
• Strong analytical abilities and solid business acumen.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Highly organised, self‑motivated and detail‑oriented.
