Sr Plumbing & Firefighting Design Engineer

About the role

The position is part of the MEP Design & Engineering Team at Axium Global Delivery Centre in Andheri, Mumbai. The senior engineer will lead the design of plumbing and fire‑protection systems and may grow a team reporting to them.

Key responsibilities

• Design complete plumbing and fire‑protection distribution systems for commercial, residential, retail, laboratory and hospital projects, from concept through tender documentation.
• Prepare technical specifications, BOQs, schedules and detailed drawings, ensuring compliance with local codes and legislation.
• Perform all required calculations and schematic mark‑ups independently, using industry‑leading software.
• Communicate regularly with clients in written and spoken English, handling client queries and presenting design solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers and support their development.

Required profile

• BE/BTech/ME/MTech in Mechanical or Civil Engineering or a related technical field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience designing plumbing and fire‑protection systems for commercial, retail, hospital and residential projects.
• Proven experience managing client communication and delivering design documentation.
