Sr. Counsel – Legal & Compliance

About the role

Cyient is seeking a Senior Counsel to join its General Corporate & Compliance function for the EMEA region. Based in Hyderabad, you will report to the Associate Director – Legal & Compliance and work alongside a collaborative team of lawyers serving 23 global jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Review, negotiate and draft a wide range of commercial contracts, including outsourcing, partnership, NDA, reseller and subcontracting agreements.
• Prepare legal documents related to trade, finance and operations such as loans, leases, purchase agreements, acquisitions, divestitures and employment contracts.
• Provide legal advice to functional managers to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including GDPR.
• Supervise and mentor junior counsels in proposal drafting, RFP responses and related tasks.
• Support dispute resolution in coordination with external counsel and the General Counsel’s office.

Required profile

• In‑house lawyer with 6‑10 years post‑qualification experience.
• Preferably from an IT or technology background.
• Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work independently and within cross‑functional teams.
• Flexibility to accommodate regional time zones.
