SQL Server Engineer – Windows Migration & Database Support

About the role

TCS is seeking an experienced SQL Server Engineer to support Windows server migrations, application migrations, and database operations across our Chennai, Hyderabad, and Bangalore locations. The role involves ensuring stability, security, and scalability of Windows systems while providing technical support to staff and backend users.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute Windows server and application migrations.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot SQL Server instances.
• Assess system stability, security, and scalability.
• Upgrade Windows systems and servers in coordination with IT managers.
• Provide technical support, resolve system and server errors, and review error logs.
• Monitor system performance, manage user access, and maintain backups.
• Collaborate with project teams to manage risks and report status.

Required profile

• 4 to 8 years of experience in Windows server migration and SQL Server administration.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Good communication skills and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Experience coordinating with cross‑functional teams.
