Specifications Manager – North & West India

About the role

We are looking for a Specifications Manager to lead the specification of our Passive Fire Protection portfolio across North and West India. The role involves close collaboration with architects, fire consultants, HVAC & MEP consultants and other authorities to ensure our solutions are included in tender documents and project specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Drive inclusion of Etex’s Passive Fire Protection products in tenders across PAN‑India by engaging architects, fire consultants, HVAC/MEP consultants and fire authorities.
• Organise and deliver technical seminars and training sessions for architects and engineers to secure early‑stage project approvals with watertight specifications.
• Prepare detailed specifications, product data sheets and project manuals for residential, commercial and industrial projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
• Develop product and system specifications in partnership with specifiers and communicate them to the sales team to support order conversion.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with specifiers, providing guidance on best construction practices and up‑skilling them.
• Provide feedback to product development teams to tailor goods and services to customer‑specific needs.

Required profile

• 5–10 years of experience in the building‑materials industry, with at least 3 years of direct interaction with top architects and consultants.
• Proven ability to manage and grow relationships with key influencers such as architects, interior designers and project management consultants.
• Strong understanding of passive fire protection concepts and construction specifications.

Required skills

• Knowledge of passive fire protection systems and building codes.
• Experience preparing technical specifications and project manuals.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and presentation skills.
