Specialist / Lead Plant Quality

About the role

The Specialist/Lead Plant Quality will act as the primary Quality Management representative for the Gurgaon plant, interfacing with customers throughout pre‑launch, launch and series production. This role ensures that all customer quality requirements are understood, implemented and continuously monitored across plant operations.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the single point of contact for all quality‑related communications with customers, managing PPAP submissions, claim reports and quality certificates.
• Evaluate, plan and track customer‑specific quality requirements, including re‑qualification activities and product audits.
• Conduct customer interface activities during facility visits, audits, Run@Rate assessments and change management.
• Monitor customer performance ratings, scorecards and initiate corrective actions as needed.
• Lead crisis management for quality alerts, perform root‑cause analysis and implement corrective actions (8D, A3).
• Oversee warranty management, analyze warranty trends, and resolve customer claims using structured problem‑solving methods.
• Maintain P‑FMEA, Control Plans, SPC cards and other production line documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum two years of experience in automotive quality management or related field.
• Ability to hold delivery responsibility for customer quality issues and to escalate to relevant functions.
• Commitment to follow documented procedures under pressure and to share process‑related risks openly.
• Strong cross‑functional collaboration mindset, prioritizing quality over speed or cost.
