Specialist - Finance Controlling

About the role

Join the Finance Controlling Competency Center at DHL Global Forwarding, Freight (DGFF) Global Service Centre in Mumbai. You will manage controlling activities, produce financial reports, run analyses and support process improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Execute cost and revenue controlling, ledger accounting (accrual, WIP, suspense) and financial report analysis.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly management review decks, volume statistics, and profitability analyses.
• Create daily volume, shipment and revenue dashboards for stations and customers.
• Support revenue forecasting, variance reporting and KPI monitoring.
• Maintain up‑to‑date process documentation and produce ad‑hoc controlling dashboards.

Required profile

• Graduate with finance & accounting specialization; post‑graduation or financial management certification preferred.
• 2‑5 years of experience in finance, preferably within DHL and with on‑shore/off‑shore environments.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to perform variance analysis and provide actionable insights.
• Comfortable working Australian business hours and in a fast‑paced team.

Required skills

• Cargowise One, FORWIN, CREST, QLIK, S21/JBA.
• Advanced MS Excel (pivot tables, dashboards, data models), MS Access, PowerPoint, Thinkcell.
• Accounting expertise – reconciliation, balance‑sheet, P&L and financial analysis.
