Special Education Teacher (SEN) – Elementary

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Special Education (SEN) Teacher to deliver engaging, age‑appropriate lessons for elementary‑aged students. The role involves creating an inclusive classroom where every learner can thrive and supporting their academic and personal development.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver lessons aligned with the school curriculum.
• Maintain a positive, inclusive and safe classroom environment.
• Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to meet diverse learning styles.
• Assess, record and report student progress regularly.
• Provide constructive feedback to students and their parents or guardians.
• Develop classroom routines that promote respect, responsibility and positive behaviour.
• Collaborate with colleagues, support staff and school leadership.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development, parent‑teacher conferences and school events.
• Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers.
• Identify and respond to the needs of students with special educational needs or learning difficulties.
• Integrate technology and digital tools to enhance learning.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or a related field.
• Valid teaching certification or licensure for the relevant jurisdiction.
• Experience teaching elementary‑aged children (1‑3 years or more preferred).
• Experience working with diverse learners, including those with special needs.
• Familiarity with the curriculum and educational standards of the school.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development.
