About the role

We are seeking a Special Educator who can immediately engage with neurodivergent or disabled learners, designing and delivering individualized learning and skilling plans that translate into lasting real‑world skills.

Key responsibilities

• Design and run individualized education/skilling plans (IEPs) tailored to each learner’s cognitive, sensory, communication, and behavioural profile.
• Assess learners on intake and conduct regular re‑assessments, producing usable documentation.
• Adapt curriculum and teaching methods based on what works for each learner.
• Proactively manage behaviour through de‑escalation, positive behaviour support, and structured routines.
• Provide honest, specific updates to parents/caregivers.
• Contribute case notes and outcome data for funder reporting.

Required profile

• Degree agnostic – no specific credential required.
• Demonstrated hands‑on experience working with neurodivergent and/or disabled individuals, with references or portfolio.
• Working knowledge of at least one structured approach (e.g., ABA, TEACCH, DIR/Floortime, PECS, structured teaching).
• Comfort with a range of profiles including autism, intellectual disability, learning disabilities, and ADHD.
• Strong documentation discipline – clear progress notes usable by other educators.
• Experience in small‑team, resource‑constrained settings is a plus.

Required skills

• Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
• TEACCH
• DIR/Floortime
• Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS)
• Structured teaching

What we offer

• Direct, hands‑on work with small learner‑to‑educator ratios.
• A supportive team that values clinical judgement over rigid rulebooks.
• Opportunity to shape programme delivery, not just execute it.
