Sourcing Specialist – Tapes & Films

About the role

As a Sourcing Specialist for the Tapes & Films category, you will work from 3M's Global Capability Centre in Bangalore, supporting procurement and supplier management across multiple business units. You will partner with global category teams, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to drive cost‑effective sourcing, ensure supply continuity, and strengthen supplier performance.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee end‑to‑end procurement for Tapes & Films, including supplier selection, negotiations, NPI support, and contract management.
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies that reduce total cost, improve working capital, and mitigate risk.
• Conduct spend, market, and cost analyses using sourcing data and metrics.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align sourcing initiatives with quality, cost, and supply continuity goals.
• Lead supplier performance improvement projects, issue resolution, and savings tracking.
• Support dual‑sourcing and risk‑reduction activities across materials, components, and plastic film production.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supplier management.
• Strong analytical and business partnership skills.
• Ability to work independently and influence global stakeholders.

Required skills

• SAP procurement experience.
