Sourcing Specialist – Electronics

About the role

3M is seeking a seasoned Sourcing Specialist to lead strategic sourcing for outsourced electronics across its global businesses. You will work with diverse teams worldwide to drive cost savings, manage supplier relationships, and support new product introductions.

Key responsibilities

• Own and lead strategic sourcing for outsourced electronics, including supplier selection, negotiations, NPI support, and policy compliance.
• Drive cost, growth, and working‑capital goals by reducing total product/process cost and applying sourcing best practices.
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for complex situations such as dual‑sourcing, risk reduction, and external supply opportunities.
• Improve processes using sourcing data, metrics, and SAP to enhance service speed and cost efficiency.
• Lead contract negotiations with suppliers in partnership with division stakeholders and legal teams.
• Implement and negotiate complex supply agreements, including supplier‑managed inventory, consigned materials, and formula‑based pricing.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering/technology (EEE/MECH) or higher.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, logistics, supply chain, engineering or manufacturing.
• Proven experience sourcing outsourced suppliers in the Power Tools sector.
