Sortex Plant Operator

About the role

The Sortex Plant Operator will run and monitor Sortex sorting machines at our Jodhpur facility, ensuring high‑quality segregation of agricultural produce. This full‑time, on‑site position involves setting up equipment, adjusting parameters, and inspecting output to meet quality standards while minimizing waste.

Key responsibilities

• Set up Sortex machines and configure sorting parameters for each production run.
• Monitor machine performance, conduct visual inspections, and sample output to verify product quality.
• Perform routine cleaning, basic maintenance, and mechanical checks on equipment.
• Record production data, machine settings, and any deviations in logbooks.
• Collaborate with the quality team for sampling, testing, and corrective actions.
• Assist with loading and unloading of raw material and finished product, following safety and hygiene protocols.
• Report technical issues promptly and support troubleshooting efforts.

Required profile

• Experience in plant operations or production monitoring within agro‑processing or food‑processing environments.
• Familiarity with Sortex or similar sorting equipment, including setup, parameter adjustment, and troubleshooting.
• Basic mechanical aptitude for routine maintenance and upkeep.
• Understanding of quality control practices such as visual inspection and sampling.
• Ability to work shifts, follow SOPs, and adhere to safety, hygiene, and environmental standards.
